Kim-O Architects approaches each project with design sensibility, a strong commitment to quality, and a systematic way of working.
Our work encompasses private residences, public and mixed-use cultural facilities, architectural planning, and renovation,
all carried out to consistent standards from initial planning through completion.
Working across differing conditions, we seek and coordinate solutions suited to each project, creating architecture intended to endure.
Our inquiry begins with the relationship between genius loci and architectural practice. We understand place as a field where historical time,
social relations, and embodied experience converge.
We regard the creation of sustainable environments as part of architecture’s public responsibility,
and continue to explore how place, people, and community come together within each project.

김지희는 제주의 맥락을 기반으로 몸과 장소가 만나 생성되는 감각 현상들, 거주의 방식에 따른 체험의 층위
그리고 공동체와 건축 환경 사이의 긴밀한 상호작용에 주목해왔습니다.
이러한 관심을 설계와 연구, 전시·출판으로 확장하며 건축적 사유를 지역의 담론과 연결하고 있습니다.
Kim Jihee is a licensed architect based in Jeju, South Korea. She is the founder and principal of Kim-O Architectural Practice. In 2026, she served as Curator and Exhibition Director of “Jeju-che_Kim Suk Yoon Architecture” at the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art.
Her work explores the relationship between architecture and place through regional context. It focuses on the sensory phenomena that emerge where body and place meet, on experiential layers shaped by modes of dwelling, and on the subtle interactions between community and the built environment.
Through built projects, research, exhibitions, and publications, Kim translates the essential meaning of place into architectural language, reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Her practice connects architectural thinking with regional discourse, positioning architecture not only as construction, but as a cultural and spatial framework.
