Sihi Kim l Founder, Principal Architect, KIRA
김지희는 제주의 지역적 맥락을 기반으로 건축과 장소의 관계를 탐구하는 건축가입니다.
몸과 장소가 만나 생성되는 감각적 현상들, 거주의 방식에 따른 체험의 층위, 그리고 공동체와 건축 환경 사이의 긴밀한 상호작용에 주목해왔습니다.
이러한 탐구는 장소에 내재된 본질적 의미를 건축 언어로 번역하고 현재의 시선으로 재해석하는 과정으로 이어지며,
연구·전시·출판 활동을 통해 건축적 사유를 지역 담론과 연결하는 작업을 지속하고 있습니다.
Sihi Kim is a Jeju-based architect exploring the relationship between architecture and place through regional context. Her work focuses on the sensory phenomena generated where body and place meet, experiential layers shaped by modes of dwelling, and the close interactions between community and built environment. This inquiry translates the essential meaning of place into architectural language, reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Through research, exhibitions, and publications, Kim connects architectural thinking with regional discourse.
